Need to get lost in nature for a while? This is a 10 day/ 9 night journey on the amazing Karnali, Nepal's longest and largest river.
Originating from the sacred Kailash mountain in Tibet the Karnali flows south in to Nepal and in to the more remote western districits. It offers a wide variety of magnificent scenery from the more arid areas through some of the most traditional villages in Nepal and ending up near the lushest jungle in Nepal at the Bardia National Park.
Often considered as one of the best rafting rivers in the world the rapids are challenging and exciting for the first four days and less intense for the rest of the journey with plenty of calmer times to coast along the river and watch the fascinating scenery change.
Fishing!
Are you a fanatical angler? …or want to give it a go?
There are many excellent fishing spots along this river and we will set up camp close to some of them. Perhaps you will land the famed Golden Mahseer or another of the wide variety of fish found in these waters. And then relax by the campfire on the sandy camping grounds as your catch sizzles on the fire..
A great way to get away from it all for a while and see the more remote areas of Nepal while mastering some of the finest rapids, paddling past some of the most unique and diverse scenery in Nepal. If you are very fortunate the amazing river dolphin can be even spotted here towards the end of the river!
7 days camping on white sandy camping grounds on the banks of the beautiful Karnali and two nights hotel accommodation with all meals provided, all diets catered for.
Ending near Chisapani in the west travellers can fly back to Kathmandu from closeby or perhaps visit the famed Bardia national Park, well known as the tiger territory of Nepal.
